When you break it down – even though Toyota has been getting a lot of flack about their recent recall, they are still the leader in the hybrid market and when they came out with the brand new Toyota FT-CH at the Detroit Auto Show – it wowed everyone … including me!

Not only is the Toyota FT-CH a little cousin to the Pruis, but it looks neat and certainly looks like it will fit into this world of small, compact cars. This small little car is only about 68.5 inches wide and is not very tall at all but it was definitely making waves at the Detroit Auto Show just a few short weeks ago.

If you are looking for a small hybrid car that is extremely cost-efficient, this is the car for you people!

In this blog – we have talked a whole lot about the 2011 BMW 5 Series Hybrid and finally – I am pleased to report that it is almost here. This particular Activehybrid has been in the rumor phase for quite a while and while we had been anticipating it coming around late, late in the summer, it appears that June is the month for the 2011 BMW 5 Series Hybrid to go on sale.

Constantly, in this blog, we are looking for the latest and greatest in the way of hybrids and personally, I think that the 2011 BMW 5 Series Hybrid is the car that is going to make all of us turn our heads. Not only is it absolutely beautiful but it is one car that is making all kinds of waves.

So if you are looking for a hybrid that is still on the sportier side, you might want to give the 2011 BMW 5 Series Hybrid a chance!

For instance, many people think that hybrid batteries — or the cars themselves — need to be plugged into something in order to charge. Not so! When the car brakes, the batteries reclaim lost energy.

A lot of people do not know precisely how hybrids work, either. Well, to put it simply, they do not simply rely on internal combustion engines powered by gasoline. Rather, hybrids run by using not only a gas engine, but also an electric motor. Those motors use energy which is stored in their rechargeable batteries.

Right now, Opel has set aside about two-hundred and fifty million euros for this particular car but they would still like a business partner for it. Ford and Fiat share the Fiat Panda/Fiat 500/Ford Ka platform and Toyota and PSA share the Toyota Aygo/Citreon C1 structure … so who is going to partner with Opel?

It might be Suzuki or even Magna – however these are just hints, there is nothing at all solid.

This is a car that is not only going to be awesome, but is actually was given the green light to start designing and production. The 2010 Chevy Spark is going to be awesome in my mind, not only will it open up a brand new line for GM, but I think that the fact that they are coming up with a completely electric car is pretty damn cool!

So if you want different, fresh and hot – the 2010 Chevy Spark is going to be it for next year!

This car, while not exactly definite just yet is actually a car that I would love to own. The color is something off, but the overall look and feel of the car itself is something that I love and the Lexus LF-Ch Concept Car actually compares to the Prius in so many ways.

While Lexus did let loose a few things, like think the BMW 1 Series but a hybrid, they are playing their cards close to their chest with the Lexus LF-Ch Concept Car!

While most people are worried about finding the very best car for them – a lot of people are really wondering about hybrid cars. To me, hybrid cars are by far some of the best cars on the market and they truly are one car that people are taking notice of. The Nissan EV-11 however is one car that people are constantly looking at and this brand new prototype from Nissan is actually really cool looking. The company was originally going to make the EV-11 another cube looking car, however it did not turn out that way at all.

This car actually runs off of about 108 HP and has a 206 electric motor that was designed in-house right at the Nissan headquarters. This car will have front wheel drive while a lithium ion battery pack will store the electricity. The 24 kWh is fitted right under the floor and is expected to yield a 100-mile range.

The aim at Nissan is to make a cool car that is comfortable – and I personally think that they did it!

Honda is by far my favorite, favorite, favorite brand of cars. I just think that owning a Honda is something that is so chic, so sleek and absolutely incredible all the way around! Now that I know that Honda is coming out with a Hybrid car in 2010? Well, I am all over that! The Honda Insight 2010 is actually a fantastic car and it is priced under $20,000.00, which is perfect for those of us that are looking for a great yet affordable car.

The cool thing about this beautiful car is that it is a hybrid but it is combine with a Honda Civic Hybrid, which to me is absolutely incredible. Whether you are looking for a car for your family or you are looking for just a car for yourself, Honda absolutely has you covered all over the place!

Honda’s are known for their engines as well, so if you combine their engine technology with the hybrid technology, you know that you are going to be getting a car that lasts you quite a while!

Now, don’t get me wrong. No one will ever try to say that saving the environment is not a good enough reason to buy a hybrid car. However, we as buyers and drivers have to think about ourselves as well. After all, should you buy a car in which you cannot trust? Should you buy something that is going to cost you money when it comes to maintenance and upkeep? Those are the hard hitting questions to which most buyers — buyers like you and me, with average incomes and average lives — want answers before they make the switch.

So, here are some of the many pros of hybrid cars. For instance, hybrid cars are made of very lightweight materials, which allows them, in turn, to be small and compact. It also allows for a very fuel efficient engine. So much so, in fact, that if you have to stop at a light or stop sign, the engine actually shuts down automatically — and automatically stars up again when you shift into gear.

This is due to the very things which give hybrid cars their names: an electric motor paired with a gasoline engine.
