To me, this is something that I love.  It is extremely artistic and certainly different than any other car that I have seen.  The cool thing about this is that there are supposed to be about 50,000 different styles … while that many might not make it through, 50,000 ideas were submitted.

For just an additional cost, you can customize your car and truly make it your own!

When it comes to electric cars, I can absolutely tell you for certain that there is no car out there that looks as cool as the Myers Motors NMG2, this is actually a two-seat electric trike that is disguised as a car.  However, it actually has three weeks and to me … it looks kind of like an alien space ship. If you like it though, this little three-wheel thing is available for pre-order right now.

The current base price is around $29k+ but if a thousand people drop $250.00 on a pre-order, the price will drop for everyone of about $5,000 — so that’s a good thing!  Myers is going to wait around until June of 2010 to really see how many preorders are going to come about to see what the actual price of car is going to be.

So … you might want to wait this one out, you could get this little beauty for around $22k+, which is better than $29k+!

When you have a hybrid car … what is the biggest question that is on your mind?  For me, especially for the electric hybrid cars, it is all about where exactly you are going to be able to plug in your car.  Charging up your cars battery is obviously going to be a very important step, but what happens when you want to take your car on a road trip?

Well, extension cords are going to become your best friend in the world, for they are certainly going to be used a lot whenever you are charging up your car.  However – if you have an electric hybrid car, I have to tell you that the technology that is going into these versions of hybrids is insane.

A lot of companies are coming up with automatic charging batteries that they are including in their hybrid cars – so when you switch over to gas from electric, your car is really charging, which is pretty slick.

The delay might have actually been a blessing since the economies of the world are really starting to show improvement right now and the extra time allowed for SAM to test and retest this particular product.  Now, this little green monster is going to be sweeping Europe and honestly … it does look pretty cool and it might be neat to drive around town in.

The price tag for this beauty is just under fifteen thousand and while that is not all that bad, it is so worth it.  The energy will keep you running for about 60 miles and honestly … this is a pretty anticipated car over in Europe!

In a way, I think that people are trying to top Toyota in the hybrid car category and to be honest … I think that is pretty damn cool.  Nissan is just one of the many companies that is catching on the hybrid and electric car wave and I personally think that the 2010 Nissan Leaf EV is going to be one of the hottest cars if not the hottest car on the market next year.  Right now – this car in particular and Nissan in general is looking to get all of their ducks in a row so they can start selling this cars!

With Obama willing to invest about $2.4 billion dollars into electric cars, Nissan is taking advantage of all of the extra funding and they truly are trying to come up with a car that is not only fully electric but one that people actually want to drive.  Now, the 2010 Nissan Leaf EV is not going to go on sale for a while but Nissan is trying to get ahead of the game and they are going to release 1,000 2010 Nissan Leaf EV’s in select markets to see how the sales go releasing just about 5,000 of these cars.

I think that is so smart!  While this particular car is years ahead of the game, I think that starting off with just 5,000 is a smart, smart, smart idea!

When you are dealing with the Chevy Volt – it is a very unique and different car and that is what I like about it.  Hybrid and electric cars are becoming more and more popular nowadays and this is just one step in the hybrid world that Chevy is taking.  Although, I am not exactly sure if this car is going to be a good step for them, the Chevy Volt is actually one car that people might not like simply due to the fact that on one single charge – this car can only go about 40 miles.

While that sounds great … I live about 20 miles from my job one way … I’d have to charge this thing every single night!  Although the Chevy Volt is going to have a gas engine inside of it – doesn’t that almost defeat the entire propose of it?  In my mind it does, but that is just me.

Although, the Chevy Volt is one of the coolest looking cars though – simply because of the overall appeal of it – so it might be one hot car on the market, we’ll see though!

While most people are worried about finding the very best car for them – a lot of people are really wondering about hybrid cars.  To me, hybrid cars are by far some of the best cars on the market and they truly are one car that people are taking notice of.  The Nissan EV-11 however is one car that people are constantly looking at and this brand new prototype from Nissan is actually really cool looking.  The company was originally going to make the EV-11 another cube looking car, however it did not turn out that way at all. 

This car actually runs off of about 108 HP and has a 206 electric motor that was designed in-house right at the Nissan headquarters.  This car will have front wheel drive while a lithium ion battery pack will store the electricity.  The 24 kWh is fitted right under the floor and is expected to yield a 100-mile range. 

The aim at Nissan is to make a cool car that is comfortable – and I personally think that they did it!

So let’s have a chat about Mitsubishi – they actually just announced that they are coming out with one of the latest and greatest electric cars!  It is the iMiEV and it is a small and egg-shaped car, as you can see, but it goes on sale in Japan this year for about $45,660, however, it should be coming to the US very soon.  This car is absolutely incredible and it does not take any gas at all, which with the rise of gas prices is awesome!

This car can drive up to 100 miles and can recharge fully in about 14 hours on 100-volts of power, so you never have to worry about how much power you are going to be using or how much distance you need to cover.  While this car may look a little weird, it is definitely one of the best cars in the world and Mitsubishi is an incredible brand to have a car from.

So you want electric?  You should totally import a Mitsubishi iMiEV!

This incredible hybrid is going have a price tag of about $100,000 but it is absolutely going to be worth it.  The driving experience alone is absolutely incredible and to be honest, this car is just competing with the other luxury hybrids like the Fisker Karma and the Lexus LS 600h L and by far, this is the cheapest of the bunch!
