BMW 7 Series ActiveHybrid

The BMW 7 Series ActiveHybrid line is one of the first examples of real luxury hybrid sedans entering the market, and I’m loving the idea of having these gas-guzzlers turned into more environmentally-friendly houses-on-wheels.

The BMW 7 Series has always been a true example of luxury and stature, and this hybrid version is opening op the hybrid idea to people not wanting to compromise on luxury and image.

I’m sold.

Hybrid BMW X6

This spy video of a Hybrid BMW X6 isn’t the most interesting one, mainly due to a couple reasons:

  1. This BMW SUV-Coupe doesn’t really do environmentally-friendly hybrid.
  2. It’ll be super-expensive. BMW is expected to charge well over 25% more for the hybrid X6…
  3. It won’t be here for at least a year…

Still, it’s an upcoming hybrid, so it deserves a spot on the blog…

Most Popular Hybrid Cars on the Market

A hybrid car is one which uses more than one source of energy for the motive force. Hybrid cars have some definite advantages over the conventional cars using gasoline or diesel oil. Normally electric hybrid cars are referred to as hybrid cars. Hybrid cars are more cost effective as far as fuel consumption is concerned. They are environment friendly. They have less emission of harmful, polluting gases because they run partly on electric power. The electric power is generated by the running of the car itself. Such power is stored in the battery and reused. Then this power is stored in a battery and used as a motive power for the electric motor.

In the US the most popular hybrid cars are GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe SUVs. In Japan the most popular ones are Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Honda Insight and Honda Civic Hybrid.
